I sat down and wrote this quick prayer moments after meeting with a local developer and trying to gain clarity as to the direction I should take in regard to our commercial property…
“Should I try to sell it?”
The person I was sitting down with was a Christian businessman that I believe would be able to offer some wisdom and guidance. (To see my last blog and the prayer I had written about three hours earlier, click here.)
Proverbs 11:14 NKJV Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
I sought wisdom from many advisors (who were also believers) during this time. This was just another example.

Jesus,
Thank you for the meeting with [big developer in Gainesville]. I believe that doing a “call for offers” is the right direction. Forgive any pridefulness that I may have had from the previous offer on the property. [We had received a pretty significant offer on the property a couple years earlier that hadn’t played out and that number was still stuck in my head. I was realizing that under these circumstances, I wasn’t going to get that number again and needed to set my pride aside.] I’ve certainly been humbled since then and I thank you for your forgiveness. I pray that this property will sell, that we will have a fast closing, and that your name is glorified in the decision that is made. This location was a wonderful gift and I’m incredibly grateful for this blessing. I love you.

Having FAITH in God’s plan is difficult to do. I know. I still struggle sometimes. At this time, I wanted the property to sell, but today, I’m so grateful that it didn’t. I often thank God for unanswered prayers. God is still working. He knows what is best. He’s still not done. His name will be glorified.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
Collin
