Ecclesiastes 11:6 NIV
6 Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well.
This verse is one of my life verses. It always finds me. In fact, my pastor brought up this verse randomly in a discussion we were having a couple weeks ago, unbeknownst to him that the verse had been on my heart again. Then, I find myself revisiting it now as I write this blog.
What is this verse saying? It’s reminding me just how valuable time is. It’s saying we have to invest time wisely. We have to be intentional with every moment and how we invest it.
During this season three years ago, it was important for me to invest time in trying to sell the business, sell the property, make plans to keep it alive, and then in waiting for the Lord. Because even though I can sow all the seeds, whether it be morning, day, or night, I still depend on Him to make it rain. I was putting every option out there, making the most of the time, and then waiting on the Lord…
Sure, I still wanted MY plan (linked below in case you missed it) to be HIS plan, but as you already know, that wasn’t the case.
Three years ago, after fielding a lot of questions and concerns others had for my family’s well-being, I decided to make a post on Facebook… I wrote about it in my prayer journal…

Jesus,
On Monday I posted this on Facebook and the response and support from friends and family was amazing. I want to post it here because I know you are working and it will be great to see your plan come to light. Thank you for having your hand on all of this.

Facebook Post:
It’s no small secret that I’ve discovered new passions over the last couple of years. At the forefront of that has been this passion behind serving others through our WHOA GNV Podcast. I think this show is only the beginning of things to come.
[Though all of this is now on pause, I still believe that my time in content creation is not finished.]
At this moment in time, I’m exploring options that would allow me to pursue my new passions. New Scooters 4 Less has played a very special role in my life, but I feel God is calling me to do more.
[I still feel this way, but have realized God’s timeline is much different than mine. I’m ok with that.]
So what does this mean in the present? My time with NS4L as an operator is coming to a close. There are A LOT of options on the table. I may sell the business, I may scale down the business, I may transition the business to another team member, and/or another option may present itself soon that makes more sense. There are a lot of things being considered at the moment and as much as I wish I had all the answers, I don’t.
[Again, my plan and timeline did not align with God’s and I’m grateful for that. I smile thinking about how 2021 and 2022 would end up being our most profitable years ever, allowing New Scooters 4 Less to become debt-free in 2023. He had a much greater plan!]
Since we are quickly approaching the end of another semester, I wanted to have as many options on the table as possible and for this reason, I have decided to test the market and explore the possibility of selling our commercial real estate.
I have already started to receive several messages wondering what is happening, showing concern, which only amplifies why I love this community so much. Thank you for that.
[I love this Gainesville community A LOT.]
I wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that my family, team, and I are 100% perfectly fine. Certainly, we have had our trials through it all.
[Sure, business was struggling and we were running out of cash quickly, but God blessed us with our health and much more. I was able to see the light in all of the darkness.]
It’s only fitting that New Scooters 4 Less is 17 years old this month. 17 is my lucky number. It’s the day of the month I was born. It’s the number that was printed on the back of many of my jerseys growing up. And when you hit the roulette table, throwing down on black 17 is a sure win (just kidding).
[New Scooters 4 Less is now 20 years old this month (March 2024), lol! Crazy!]
I’m blessed that entrepreneurship has found me! Exciting things are on the horizon!
Ecclesiastes 11:6 “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whaether both will do equally well.”

LORD - I just pray that I use each day this month wisely. That I’m not wasting time but adequately preparing for whatever you have planned for me next. In this waiting period, I ask that you will bless NS4L with more scooter sales. We had a nice rush on Monday, but we could use more. Bills are stacking up. I need to pay some insurance bills and the upcoming property taxes. Please help.
Finally, I pray over my family. This morning was a tad rougher than normal. Fights over tablets and my blood pressure rising from having to discipline the boys. Help us create new healthy habits. Thank you. [Never a dull moment. #dadlife Lol.]
Love you.
Collin
Today’s final thoughts
Those that invest are more prepared for the storms that lie ahead.
Think about it…
If you invest money into an emergency fund, when the air conditioning breaks or you have another major expense, you have the ability to cover it.
If you invest money into retirement from a young age, by the time you reach retirement, you have enough to live on and enjoy life. If not, you’ve created more stress and your own storm.
If you invest time in your relationships, they will be healthier and stronger, allowing you to overcome challenges and storms together that inevitably pop up.
Most importantly, if you invest time in your relationship with God, then you will be ready for any storm that comes your way because you will know that God’s promises are good and He will always take care of you.
Investing wisely won’t lead to a storm-free life, but it leads to a life with a lot less stress.
We just have to trust His plan.
God bless you and I wish you and yours a wonderful Easter this Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
